Q. Do you make a "hot" version of your salsas? A. Mrs.
Fogg's offers one level of "heat" in our salsas.
Depending on your tastes buds, you may consider it
"mild" or "medium". Our extensive marketing and customer
research has shown that the version we offer
is what the majority of our customers want.
Q. How long do your products keep?
A. Our products are produced in a commercial
facility. Jarred goods are best if used within one
year from date of purchase.
Our dry dip mixes and BBQ rubs have no added
preservatives (or MSG). Some varieties have a tendency to
"clump" because of this (clumps work right out
once you start to mix the ingredients with sour cream). To help prevent or slow
clumping, store your dry mix items in the refrigerator
inside a zip-lock bag. Dry mixes and rubs
are best if used within 6 months from date of purchase,
but you may keep them up to 9 months in the refrigerator
or freezer.
Q. Can I use fat free sour cream, yogurt, or
non-dairy "sour cream" to make your dip mixes?
A. For best results, use a good quality
regular or light sour cream to make my dip mixes.
You can use fat free sour cream, yogurt, or non-dairy
"sour cream", but you will not get the same results as
you will using regular or light sour cream.
Q. How do I use a "rub"?
A. My dry BBQ rubs can be used on fresh meat or even
partially thawed meats. There is no need to wet
the meat or spray with oil. Simply sprinkle a
light coating of any of my rubs on the surface of the
meat, spreading to the edges and pat into the surface
with your fingers. Let sit for a couple
hours in the refrigerator and then cook using your
favorite method. You can use a seasoning rub even
if you are not grilling -- simply bake, broil or pan fry
-- the flavors will shine! Mrs. Fogg's Kitchen
Rubs wake up even everyday burgers!
Q. Where on the website can I find the ingredients in
your products?
A. Although we do not list ingredients for our
products on the website, you are welcome to
contact us for a list of the
ingredients in any of our products.
