"Mrs. Fogg" (Lori to family and
friends!) was born and raised in a small town located in
East Central Pennsylvania in Schuylkill County.
This area is rich in the heritage of Eastern European
immigrants who came to work in the Anthracite (Hard
Coal) mines in the north and dedicated farmers in the
west of the county, many of whom had a Pennsylvania
Dutch or Amish influence. Mrs. Fogg is literally a "coal
miner's daughter".
Lori's love of cooking came at an
early age as she helped her mother prepare meals or
worked with her "Nana" canning Chow-Chow (A PA Dutch
specialty) or making homemade fudge.
After meeting and marrying her husband
James, a "dyed-in-the-wool Yankee" in 1997, the couple
settled in Wilmot, New Hampshire, a tranquil small town
in the Dartmouth-Sunapee region.
Lori loves to entertain and often made
dips for guests for holiday get-togethers and special
occasions. Everyone raved about them and wanted to
know how to get them.
Lori decided to open a stand selling
her much requested dip mixes at the Wilmot Farmers'
Market. They were an instant hit and Mrs. Fogg's
Kitchen was officially born!
Mrs. Fogg's Kitchen has now expanded
to include mouthwatering Fruit and Specialty Salsas,
Home Style BBQ Sauces, dry BBQ Rubs including our very
popular "JAVA RUB", and of course, several varieties of
her ever popular dip mixes.
Mrs. Fogg's Kitchen is proud to be a
family owned and operated New Hampshire business
dedicated to delivering quality and freshness in every
product.
Mrs. (and Mr.) Fogg are the proud
"parents" of 11 rescued and adopted dogs ranging from
Siberian Huskies to Sheltie mixes to several
Pomeranians. In their leisure time, the couple
enjoys boating on beautiful Lake Sunapee and
experimenting with new recipes for Mrs. Fogg's Kitchen.
Having been a member of the Board of Directors and Fund
Raising Project Coordinator for the
Hillside SPCA Animal Shelter in Pennsylvania, Lori
remains dedicated to volunteering her time to this
terrific organization by maintaining their website and
acting as Editor of their quarterly newsletter even
after moving to NH. (Save lives - please spay and neuter
your pets!) |
